The Louisville Cardinals fought but failed to overcome PJ Hall and Clemson as they lost to the Tigers 70-64 last night. Louisville kept it tight in the first half, but Clemson closed out the half with a 12 point lead and led all the way till the end of the game. The game in the 2nd half was not very competitive, but towards the end of the game Louisville started to really fight back, it was just too late.

Tre White led the Cardinals with 29 points and 14 rebounds, but even that was not enough to defeat the Tigers, as the team defense as a whole continued to play poorly in the 2nd half.

Louisville continued to do what they have been doing all season by starting slow and playing below average defense for a full 40 minutes. The defensive lapses are embarrassing for a power 5 school, and is very worrying for a coach that is on his heels heading into the last leg of his 2nd season.
