The Louisville Cardinals fell to to the Duke Blue Devils on Tuesday and while the Cards showed a lot of fight against the Blue Devils, they ultimately ended up falling 83-69.

Louisville started the game with a 12-6 lead over the top ranked Blue Devils, but did not last long as Duke eventually gained an 18-point lead in the 2nd half. Louisville fought back and brought the lead down to 9 at halftime, but the obusmal start to the half was just a lot to overcome.

Louisville eventually cut it to 3 in the 2nd half multiple times in the 2nd half, but the talent an coaching that Duke had eventually just outshined Louisville and Kenny Payne's team. Duke eventually ballooned the lead to 14 in the 2nd half and ended the game with a 14-point lead.

However, Louisville still covered the -14.5-point spread, even if only by half a point. That seems to be the only good get of the past few weeks with this team. They don't win games, but they fight hard and find a way to cover the spread by the end of the game.

That is not enough for Louisville fans, as we expect to win games and not get blown out in back-to back-to back games.

Kenny Payne's outlook at Louisville is not looking good the deeper we get into 2024.
