Louisville football has had its ups and downs this year, but the highs outweigh the lows, and it's not even close. Jeff Brohm has this program headed in the right direction and this year's results prove it.

The Cardinals started 6-0 with a win over then #10 Notre Dame, and the Cardinals were on top of the world. They got there because of head coach Jeff Brohm. Brohm brought in a stellar transfer class, a new quarterback, and brought his aggressive coaching style with him. That is why Louisville won those first 6 games, and it led to Louisville eventually getting to 10-1 going into the last game of the season.

The only ACC game that the Cardinals lost this season was a homecoming road game against the Pitt Panthers. Pitt was one of the worst teams in the ACC this year, and the big game letdown was what happened to Louisville. Right after starting 6-0 and jumping into the top 15, they lost to a 2-win Pitt team. That is a reasonable critique of jeff Brohm, as he was known to do this kind of thing at Purdue as well.

The Cardinals continued their dominating ways, as they blew out Duke and Virginia Tech with a combined score of 57-3. If that doesn't shout dominance then I don't know what does.

Louisville eventually reached their first ACC Championship game berth after beating Miami on the road, and Jeff Brohm had already led the Cards to conference prominence in his first year. What followed in the next 3 games was ultimately very disappointing.

Louisville lost to their arch-rival Kentucky in what was a very winnable game for the Cardinals. The Cardinals made all the mistakes they had been avoiding all season long. From bad turnovers, bad special teams, and inconsistent offense and defense. Kentucky won 38-31, and in my opinion they sucked the life out of the Cardinals.

Louisville did not look uninspired against Florida State in the ACC Championship, but they had several chances to win that game and just failed to capitalize on any of them. They ended up losing 16-6 and wouldn't play again till late December in the Holiday Bowl against the USC Trojans.

Louisville played their worst game on both sides of the ball against USC. They ended up losing 42-28 and looked uninspired for most of the game, especially on defense. QB Jack Plummer also looked like his steam had run out for the season, as he had looked worse and worse in the past 3 games.

While finishing 0-3 against your arch-rival, a top 5 team and a middling Pac-12 team isn't good, it isn't something to call for change over. Brohm knows the mistakes his team made and will not let them do it again.

Jeff Brohm isn't just the head coach of Louisville but is a Louisville fan at heart too. He wants the program to succeed and to win national titles here. Brohm will make the changes necessary to make sure 2024 is an even better season for the Cardinals, and he proving it with his transfer class so far.

Fans can call out Brohm for how the team has performed recently, but calling this season "unsuccessful" is just not. true. Louisville has had their best winning season in the last 10 years, and fans finally got a taste of what being at the top felt like again.

Jeff Brohm will get this team where it needs to be, and he is already proving it with how he is prepping for the 2024 Louisville football season.

Put your Cardinal faith in Jeff Brohm.
