Louisville football fans have not forgotten the success that the Cardinals had in the first season under Jeff Brohm a year ago. They played for the ACC Championship last season and had a real shot to win the conference for the first time in quite a while. It was an impressive first year from Brohm.

No one thinks the Cardinals can keep their momentum from a year ago. The pollsters certainly don't think so. Offensively, it's hard to be secure in what they have because they replace so many contributors from last year's team. Defensively, they are as good as any team in the conference.

Saturday morning was the first College Gameday episode of the season live from Dublin, Ireland. They are there because two ACC teams are playing overseas in Florida State and Georgia Tech. The panel mentioned FSU as a contender to win the conference. No one mentioned Louisville and fans aren't happy.

Louisville football fans voice their displeasure on social media with College Gameday

Fans of the Cardinals were not happy with the omission of Louisville despite the success they had last year and voiced their displeasure on social media.

These are just a couple of reactions from fans this morning after that segment. Scores of fans sounded off on Kirk Herbstriet, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban, and Pat McAfee for not talking about the Louisville Cardinals. Not even Rece Davis or Stanford Steve brought them up.

Louisville can just use this as more fuel to the fire this year. They know that no one outside of Kentucky gives them a shot to compete in the expanded ACC this season. They have to just go out there and prove everyone wrong.

It will start with the defense. If they can limit opposing offenses even better than they did last year, they have a real shot to go back to the ACC Championship Game.
