After Louisville lost to USC in the Holiday Bowl, several players have announced they will be leaving the program to enter the transfer portal. Six players overall have announced since then, but five players declared to enter the portal yesterday.

On Thursday, linebacker Keith Brown announced he was entering the transfer portal after one season at Louisville. Brown only appeared in 3 games this season and only played on 12 snaps this year that were not special teams.

The other five players that entered yesterday were as follows:

1. Kicker, Nick Lopez

Nick Lopez was the backup behind Brock Travelstead for most of the season, although he did take over the kicking for the Cardinals toward the end of the season. Lopez went 11-11 for extra points and even made a 24-yard field goal against Miami. This was Lopez's first and only year with the Cardinals.

2. Offensive Lineman, Vincent Lumia

Vincent Lumia was a 6'2, 295-pound offensive tackle who transferred to Louisville last season. After playing 17 snaps against Murray State Lumia was injured and ruled out for the rest of the season. This ultimately was probably part of the season he decided to transfer.

3. Wide Receiver, Ahmari Huggins-Bruce

Ahmari Huggins-Bruce was the toughest loss that Louisville has taken so far in the transfer portal. Huggins-Bruce has had over 1,100 yards and 10 TDs at Louisville but got lost in the receiving corps, as he was 5th in yards this season. With more talent coming in, Higgins-Bruce likely wanted a bigger role at a different school.

4. Defensive Lineman, Rodney McGraw

Rodney McGraw was one of Jeff Brohm's first recruits when he got to Louisville. But with McGraw only getting 3 snaps all season it was inevitable that he would transfer for next season.

5. Defensive Clark, Jeff Clark

Defensive lineman Jeff Clark appeared in all 14 games for Louisville this season and was a gloried backup for the Cardinals. Clark had 14 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, and 4 quarterback hurries on the season.
