Jeff Brohm proved he can take advantage of the transfer portal last season where he got one of the best transfer classes in the country, but can he do it again? So far it seems like he will.

Brohm has already notched a couple of heavy hitters on the offensive and defensive line, the tight end room, and found their quarterback for 2024. Brohm also has several players scheduled for visits this week.

So far here is the list of players Brohm has commited to Louisville in the transfer portal for 2024:

1. QB Tyler Shough - Texas Tech

Tyler Shough is a former 4-star recruit who played football at Oregon and Texas Tech. Shough was a former NFL prospect but due to injuries, it has derailed his career to a certain degree. Shough has a lot of talent and who better to throw the ball for than the QB whisperer Jeff Brohm? He comes into Louisville as a 3-star transfer per On3 and looks to lead the Cardinal offense in 2024.

2. DL Thor Griffith - Harvard

Defensive lineman Thor Griffith comes into Louisville as a senior but brings a lot of weight and power to the offensive line. Griffith comes in at 6'2 and 320 pounds and should bring some needed strength to the 2024 defensive line. He also comes in with a 4-star transfer rating per On3.

3. OL Jonathan Mendoza - Yale

Offensive lineman Jonathan Mendoza comes into Louisville as a 3-star transfer per On3 and is likely to be the tallest player on the roster next season. Mendoza continues the streak of Ivy League talent as he is from Yale, and stands in at an impressive 6'7 and 300 pounds.

4. TE Mark Redman - San Diego State

Jeff Brohm needed to fill the void of tight end on the roster next season and he already started by getting 2 tight ends in December. One of them is a 3-star transfer out of San Diego State: Mark Redman per On3. Redman is a senior and had initially played for the Washington Huskies in 2019. Redman also comes in at 6'6 and 239 pounds.

5. TE Tanner Koziol - Ball State

Tanner Koziol completes the Tight end duo as he comes as a 3-star transfer from Ball State per On3. Koziol will only come in as a sophomore and will look to develop here at Louisville with Jeff Brohm. Koziol also comes in at 6'6 and 230 pounds.

Jeff Brohm has one of the best transfer classes in the country right now, and he is only getting started. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds as the offseason progresses, but only time will tell as Brohm gets his team together for 2024.
