The Louisville football team is taking on a good SMU Mustangs team on Saturday. The Cardinals know that this game is very critical. They are in a crucial part of their schedule. Coming off a loss, it's critical that the Louisville Cardinals win this game to keep their CFP hopes alive.

SMU is a team with a high-powered offense and a good turnover margin. It's not going to be easy for Louisville to win this game, even if it is a home game. Louisville's confidence is not deterred though. Tyler Shough continues to play better than anyone thought he would.

This game is on ESPN at noon and it's going to be an entertaining game. Louisville is already 1-0 in the ACC and they are looking to keep their record in the conference spotless. The oddsmakers seem to agree that the Cardinals will get themselves back on track.

According to DraftKings, the Cardinals are seven-point favorites at home. The over/under sits at a whopping 55.5 for this game. They expect this game to be high-flying. I can't say that's going to be wrong. It should be a very offensive-centered game.

The only reason why I think that this game could go under is because Louisville's defense is better than what people think. The only reason why Notre Dame scored as many points as they did last week is because of some brutal turnovers that gave the Irish good field position.

I think that's an excellent spread set by Vegas. SMU is a good team that deserves respect. But with the fact that this game is at home and Louisville is playing to keep their season alive, I think that gives them the edge. It's also at home too, so the Cardinals should win this game.
