Louisville Forward Mike James Enters Transfer Portal
By Caleb Hall
As the Louisville head coaching search continues, Mike James officially entered the transfer portal today, as he became the 7th former cardinal to enter the portal since the end of the season.
Mike James has been with Louisville the past 3 seasons, but he had only played the past 2 seasons under Kenny Payne since he used his redshirt season due to injury under Chris Mack's last season.
James had a good season in his "true" freshman year and was continuing to do the same in his sophomore season under Payne. James averaged 12.6 points, 5 rebounds, 1.5 assists, while shooting 39.6% from the floor, and shooting 80.4% from the perimeter in his 2 seasons.
Mike James could ultimately come back to Louisville if he wanted, but if not, he will be remembered as having a lot of the "best" moments from the Kenny Payne era.
