Louisville has had most of their roster enter the transfer portal since Kenny Payne's firing, but the one outlier has been Ty-Laur Johnson. However, as of yesterday Johnson has officially entered the portal.

Johnson was a freshman for Kenny Payne last season and was one of the standout freshman from last years roster. Johnson had an explosiveness to him and put Louisville in games till the end with his quickness and ability to get the ball where it needed to be. Whether that was to another player or in the basket.

Johnson was Louisville's assist and steals leader from last year, as he averaged 8.7 points, 1.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, while shooting 37.4% from the floor and 82.4% from the free throw line.

Johnson seemed like he would end up staying at Louisville based on how long he was waiting to enter the portal. But with Johnson entering now, it seems like he will likely not be coming back after talking to head coach Pat Kelsey.
