Louisville head coach Pat Kelsey seems to have had little to no rest since he took the Louisville job, as he has reached out to multiple transfer portal prospects and has been doing his best to try and steal recruits from the Kentucky Wildcats.
His next potential get? Former NBA draft prospect Ugonna Onyenso
Onyenso opted out for the NBA Draft earlier this offseason, but as of this morning he has entered into the transfer portal to leave Kentucky. Onyenso was one of the best rim protecting big men in the country last season, and that was in relatively limited minutes.

Onyenso has been contacted by many schools since he opened his recruitment back up from these schools:
- Louisville
- Alabama
- Oklahoma
- Georgetown
- Florida
Florida and Alabama seem to be the frontrunners as of now, but never count Louisville and Pat Kelsey out of the mix. Onyenso was one of the better efficient players in all of college basketball last year, and would be an absolutely humongous pick for Pat Kelsey in year one.
Ugonna Onyenso could be the best rim protector in the country next year and now he’s on the open market:
