The Louisville Cardinals and head coach Pat Kelsey have nearly finished completing the roster of players for next season, as Kelsey landed big man BYU transfer Noah Waterman.

Louisville landed Waterman who played for BYU the past 2 seasons, after playing for Niagara and Detroit Mercy in the 3 seasons before that. Waterman played in all 33 games for BYU in the past 2 seasons, and averaged 17 minutes in his first season at BYU while playing around 24 minutes last year for BYU. Waterman also averaged 9.5 points, and 5.4 rebounds, while shooting 45.7% from the floor overall and 37.3% from the perimeter at BYU last season.

Kelsey needed another big man to round out his roster for next seaon and Waterman looks to fill that role. Louisville was looking into Waterman and Ugonna Onyenso in the past few days, but with Waterman visiting the past few days it was seeming like he would commit relatively soon after his visit.

Waterman will also join a couple players on this Louisville roster that came from BYU. Which is very odd since these players played under Mark Pope at BYU and chose not to follow him to Kentucky, where he is now the head coach.

With this commitment Louisville officially jumps to the #1 transfer class in all of college basketball according to On3.
