After the departures of the spring opening for the transfer portal head coach Jeff Brohm has had to bring in some more defensive players to fill the void, and Rene Konga from Rutgers will be another player to help fill that void.

Konga spent last season at Rutgers where he played in 10 games last year with 8 total tackles and a strip sack. Konga also comes in as a 6-foot, 290 pound defensive lineman, and will provide some much needed depth for the defensive line for Louisville and Brohm's defense in 2024.

Brohm seems to be adding a lot of depth to replace players like Jaylin Alderman and Tyler Baron, over just 2 potential star players. It seems as if the defensive line will have a lot of key rotational pieces rather than 2-4 star players, which could potentially work out well in 2024, but only time will tell.
