After a week of losing some key former transfer for Louisville football's roster, Jeff Brohm added a key linebacker from Texas State in Dan Foster Jr.

After the departure of Jaylin Alderman, Foster will provide a replacement in the depth in the linebacker position. TJ Quinn and Stanquan Clark will likely be starting on the inside, so Foster will likely provide some much needed depth after Alerman's departure.

Foster comes in as a 6'3, 225 pound linebacker that started all 13 games for Texas State. He had the fifth most on the team with 52 tackles, while also having the the 4th most solo tackles on the team as well with 27. He also had 3.5 tackles for loss, 3 quarterback hurries, while having a forced fumble and fumble recovery.

This is a key defensive pick for Jeff Brohm's defensive squad, and Foster will likely be a very important addition to the defense for Louisville in 2024.
