Louisville RB Jawhar Jordan Drafted by the Houston Texans
By Caleb Hall
Jawhar Jordan has been electric for Louisville football in the past 2 seasons, and after entering the NFL Draft this offseason he was drafted during day three. As the Houston Texans took him in the 6th round with 205th pick.
In the first half of the season for Louisville he was unstoppable, and was outright dominate against ranked teams like Notre Dame and Duke. Jordan is a power runner while also having decent acceleration, and if he was fully 100% healthy for the 2nd half of the season he could have been picked much higher than the 5th round.
Jordan will fit very well in the Texan's offensive system, as he was one of the best zone runners in all of college football last season and will be right at home in Houston's system.
Jordan had 1,128 rushing yards on 181 attempts last season, as he also had 13 touchdowns and 246 receiving yards on 21 catches. His best touchdown last season was without a doubt the long touchdown run he had against #10 Notre Dame to put the Cardinals up 7 points.
