Pat Kelsey has been trying to get the Louisville roster for the 2024-25 season together, but Kelsey has been going after recruits for the 2025 class as well as going after plenty of transfer recruits this offseason as well.
The most recent news to come out is that 2025 point guard Kaden Magwood was offered by Kelsey and within the same day he received a futurecast from Rival's Ty Spalding.
Magwood has picked up offers from multiple other schools including: Louisville, Illinois, Ole Miss, Penn State, Rhode Island, Western Kentucky, West Virginia, Alabama, LSU, and other smaller schools. Magwood would also come in as a 6-foot 3-inch 170 4-star guard from Oak Hill Academy, Virginia.
Magwood would be a great addition for Kelsey in 2025, as there have been no official recruits for 2025 so far, and Magwood would be a great start. Not to mention that he would also come in as a point guard, which has been something that has been severely lacking for Louisville in recent memory.
Kelsey is getting his roster ready through the transfer portal while also keeping an eye out for the future by recruiting and offering people like Kaden Magwood.
Louisville basketball is getting back on track, I would expect some more news about Magwood to happen relatively soon.
