Louisville Scrapes by and Advances by Boston College, 58-55
By Caleb Hall
The Louisville women's basketball team has been struggling as of late, and although they struggled again today against Boston College, they still found a way to win.
The Cardinals have gone 5-5 in their last ten regular season games, and have lost 2 of their last 3 games, losing to Virginia and Notre Dame and beating Florida State. They were looking to continue this downward spiral against Boston College today, as they were down most of the 4th quarter to the Eagles.
Jeff Walz's squad eventually took the victory after Olivia Cochran's clutch defensive steal and Nyla Harris's offensive rebound bucket, and jumper that gave the Cardinals a 56-55 lead. The Cardinals did have some trouble making free throws however, and gave Boston College two possessions to tie the game up, but they were not able to convert the three on either possession.
Louisville and Jeff Walz will need to get this team to start playing better basketball, especially with harder teams coming up and March Madness starting up very soon.
