Louisville vs. NC State: Betting Odds, How To Watch, and Predictions
By Caleb Hall
The Louisville Cardinals are coming off a huge 80-71 road victory over the Miami Hurricanes, and they look to get back on track in beating the NC State Wolfpack today.
Louisville will come in at 6-9 (1-3) while NC State is coming in at 11-4 (3-1) on the season. The Wolfpack were 11-3 and undefeated in the ACC going into their matchup against the #7 UNC Tarheels, but after shooting 27% from the field they ended up losing that game 67-54 at home. NC State also does not have a signature win this season, with the best win they have being a 76-60 win over Virginia, which was a team Louisville lost to last week by 24 points.
The Wolfpack have looked vulnerable this season, and if there was a time for Louisville to play them it would be now. Louisville is looking to get out of the rut they have been in recently, and with a win over Miami and NC State that would certainly be a start.
If Louisville can get some continued momentum against the Wolfpack it would do wonders for Cardinal head coach Kenny Payne, who has been under heavy criticism lately. Payne needs as many wins as possible for his future at Louisville to remain stable, and beating NC State is the next step.

What Are The Betting Odds For Louisville vs. NC State?
As I currently write this article Louisville is a -7.5 point underdog against Pitt, with the over/under being 145.5. Louisville is also +280 on the moneyline, while Virginia is -350 on the moneyline.
What Injuries Are Louisville Dealing With?
Tre White and Emmanuel Okorafor are still listed as "day to day" and Payne "hopes he will be available for tomorrow's game" but it will be uncertain until the starting lineups are released. Dennis Evans and JJ Traynor will also be out for this game, as they have had season-ending injuries.
Final Score Prediction For Louisville vs. NC State:
The game between NC State and Louisville is a hard one to pick, and given this week's events one would believe Louisville has a decent fighting chance. If the Cardinals play like they did on the road against Miami then they have a steady chance to win this game, but if they don't they could very well get run out of the building by the Wolfpack.
I am looking for Mike James, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield, and Skyy Clark to continue their hot play and for Louisville to do barely just enough to win this one at home this time. As Kenny Payne keeps his 2025 campaign alive for now.
