The new era of Louisville Basketball will officially begin today as Athletic Director Josh Heird will introduce new head men's basketball coach Pat Kelsey today at a press conference at 3:00 PM.
Kelsey landed earlier today with his family and Josh Heird, where the media and other people from the University greeted his arrival.
Kelsey had this to say when asked about what fans should expect from local WDRB reporter Tom Lane:
"" We're Gonna Win" "Pat Kelsey
This is exactly what Louisville fans want to hear at this point from a new head coach. Cardinal fans have grown so tired of the low energy from past coaching staffs, and the fact that the first statemnet uttered by Kelsey is "we're gonna win" should bode well for Louisville fans.
Kelsey also had this to say regarding the Louisville job:
""This is one of the most tradition-rich programs in the history of college basketball," he said. "There are banners hanging up in the arena for a reason because that's the expectation here. I'm excited about the challenge. It's an honor to be here." "Pat Kelsey
A certain certain football staff member was also at the Kueber center to meet Pat Kelsey and his family as well:
Kelsey already seems to have a better grip on the city and fans of Louisville than Kenny Payne ever did, and it hasn't even officially started yet. Louisville seems to be in good hands with Kelsey, and Louisville will officially announce him as head coach today inside the Kueber Center at 3:00 PM today.
