The Louisville football team is hoping to get a major lift to the offense

The offense is already one of the best in college football, but the Louisville football team could get even more help on that side of the ball.

The Louisville football team has a massive matchup against Notre Dame this weekend. It might be the toughest game that they have to play all year. It also happens to be the first road game that they have to play. Notre Dame is also fighting to keep their season alive, so a lot is at stake for this game.

Louisville's offense has been good enough to to dominate the games they've played so far. They have won every game by double-digits so far. The defense has certainly had a lot to do with that too. Still, the offense has been one of the most efficient in all of college football.

Although Louisville's offense has done a great job of scoring points and gaining yards. It has been a much better offense than what was expected from them this year. It's an offense that could get even more explosive on Saturday because they could get some a key receiver back.

There's a chance that this coule be the first game this season in which Caullin Lacy is able to play. Lacy broke his collarbone a few weeks before the season started and he was projected to miss six to eight weeks. That six week mark is here now and Lacy is at least back at practice.

Lacy being at practice gives the Cardinals a shot to see him on Saturday against the Fighting Irish. It would make Louisville's offense even tougher to stop. If he does play, he may not be overly effective considering this would be his first game with a new team after transferring from South Alabama.

Adding Lacy would be great for the Cardinals as they try to upset Notre Dame. They may not need him to do that, but adding him would certainly help.
