The Louisville football team has done everything they've wanted to and more in this young college football season. Not only are they 2-0, but they have blown out both of their opponents. Scoring 111 points in two games is pretty darn good, especially for a team with so many new offensive players.

Louisville is coming out of a very early bye week. It was probably scheduled at a bad team for this team that looks great on both sides of the ball. On the other hand, it gives them a chance to prepare for their first ACC opponent of the season, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Georgia Tech has already played four games this season, so they should be ready for this matchup. They might be a bit more in sync than the Cardinals will be. Still, Louisville looks like the more talented team. It should be a very interesting game early in the season.

As this first ACC matchup gets closer, we will give you three bold predictions for this game. All of them are realistic but are obviously not expected. That's the nature of what a bold prediction is. I wouldn't be surprised if all of these things come true.

The first bold prediction has to do with Louisville's offense.

1. The Louisville football team will rush for 175+ yards

Early on in the season, it's clear the Louisville Cardinals are leaning on the running game. They have made a very concerted effort to establish the ground game and control the tempo of the game. A lot of those runs have also busted out for very large gains and some big touchdowns.

Isaac Brown has emerged as one of their top backs. He and Duke Watson are home-run hitters in the backfield. With them in the backfield, it will be hard for Georgia Tech to stop Louisville's run game. The Cardinals are leaning on these guys to take pressure off of Tyler Shough.

I expect that to continue in this game. Georgia Tech's defense has not been the best at stopping the run so far this year. They allowed 150 yards rushing from Georgia State and let Syracuse run for 134 yards on them. It's Louisville's running backs will be the best set of backs they've seen.

Louisville should be able to run for at least 175 yards in this game. I think all of the backs will get involved as Jeff Brohm wants to impose his will on this game. This should allow them to take some shots with some play-action passes down the field too.

The second bold prediction has to do with the defensive side of the ball.
