Three players to watch for Louisville football vs. Notre Dame

The Louisville football team has their toughest game so far coming up on Saturday. Here are some players to watch for this big matchup.

2. Riley Leonard

When last season ended, Riley Leonard was one of the quarterbacks that a lot of teams wanted. Leonard entered the transfer portal after another year at Duke and eventually decided on Notre Dame for his final year of eligibility. Now, he's leading the team.

Leonard hasn't exactly led a top-tier offense. The Irish only scored 14 points against Northern Illinois in a loss and struggled against Miami of Ohio last week. They only scored 14 points in the first half against the Red Hawks and Leonard had a big fumble in that game.

Leonard hasn't been very good this year. He has just one touchdown pass so far this season. He has two interceptions. Leonard has been much more effective at running the ball than he has throwing the ball. He has six rushing touchdowns and has run for 322 yards

If Louisville can keep Leonard from beating them with his legs, they have a great chance to win this game. They have to keep him in the pocket and force him to maake big throws. I'm not sure that he can do that, especially if he has some pressure in his face.

Speaking of pressure in his face, the final player to watch will be one of the guys trying to sack Leonard throughout the game.
