The Louisville football team is getting ready to take on Austin Peay on Saturday in the first game of the season. It's a perfect game for them to start with because they have some things they need to figure out on the offensive side of the ball. They have to figure out who will be the playmakers.
Louisville should be able to beat Austin Peay without too many problems if they are the team that we think they are. Still, this is college football. Anything can happen. The biggest thing that could hurt the Cardinals is some bad weather during the game. That could much things up.
How will the weather be for the game? This early in the season, the weather is typically pretty good. The thing that you have to worry about are thunderstorms this time of year. Unfortunately for the Cardinals, they will have worry about that happening this weekend.

According to the Weather Channel, the Cardinals are going to have to deal with some thunderstorms on Saturday. In fact, there's an 86% chance of thunderstorms on Saturday. The high is 83 degrees as well, so it will be warm. The rain is the biggest problem they have to deal with.
If there are actually some thunderstorms, the game will likely be delayed. They won't play if there is lightning in the area. If it just rains really hard, that is a disadvantage for the Louisville Cardinals. That could make holding onto the ball harder and It definitely makes passing the ball harder.
Both of those variables could make it easier for the Governors to pull an upset against Louisville. There is still some time that things could change between now and then, but it doesn't look good right now.
