Jeff Brohm and the Louisville Cardinals are looking for another good season after finishing 2023 with a 10-4 overall record, and are looking to move past the 3 straight losses to end 2023.

Brohm brought in one of the best transfer classes in all of college football, and with some key returning players on offense and defense it is looking like Louisville will have another successful football season.

However, one concerning position for the Cardinals in recent weeks has been the quarterback room and how there may be some worry that Tyler Shough may not be the answer Brohm needed.

Brohm brought in Shough as a transfer from Texas Tech, and while Shough was a solid QB for Oregon and Texas Tech, he was plagued with injuries for most of his career. Brohm has been known as the quarterback guru, but it is unknown at this point if Shough will be able to stay healthy all of next season.

Backing up Shough will likely be Brady Allen and former 4-star freshman turned sophomore Pierce Clarkson. Allen transferred in from Purdue last season, while Clarkson was the headliner of Louisville's 2023 recruiting class.

Allen was ahead of Clarkson in the depth chart last season, and while fans may want Clarkson ahead of him, Brohm will seemingly always make the right decision when it comes to playing the best QB.

Even if Tyler Shough ends up getting hurt during the season Clarkson and Allen will be ready to man the helm, and they have the talent to do so. Allen was the 2nd highest QB commit in Purdue football history, while Clarkson was one of the best players to come out of the Cardinals 2023 recruiting class.

Whoever the QB may eventually end up being in 2024, Jeff Brohm will have the Cardinals rolling.
