Guerendo in 2024 would be huge for Brohm and the Cardinals

The story of Louisville's rushing offense this year has been Jawhar Jordan, and for the first 6 games he dominated the ground game. But once Jordan was injured Isaac Guerendo started getting some carries and has been a force since midway through the 2023 season.

Guerendo came in as a transfer from Wisconsin, and although he was listed as 3rd on the depth chart behind Maurice Turner, he made the most of his chances. Guerendo ended up rushing for 810 yards on the season on 132 carries, while also having 234 receiving yards and 11 total touchdowns.

This includes his 161-yard, 3-touchdown game against USC in the Holiday bowl.

With these numbers Guerendo is likely to head to the 2024 NFL Draft, however, there is still a possibility of him returning to Louisville in 2024. Ashton Gillotte is returning in 2024, and he was a sure draft pick but opted to stay another year in college. Guerendo could do the same thing.

Gillotte nearly won the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and was the best player on the defense all season long. If Gillotte can stay so can Guerendo. However, that is all up to what he wants to do with his future. Whether that is staying with the Cards or heading to the NFL Draft.

If I had to place my bet on it I would think Guerendo would head to the draft, but I would have also said the same thing about Gillotte. It is up in the air right now, but if Guerendo does stay for 2024 the Louisville rushing attack will be even more dynamic.
