Sananda Fru - Stay

Sananda Fru is expected to take a big jump this offseason and come back next year and be Kelsey’s starting center the entire season. Louisville turned to Vangelis Zougris over Fru in the starting lineup to switch things up a bit, as Fru’s physicality was a glaring concern.

The Cardinals have high expectations for the former 4-star recruit, and with Louisville hopefully attacking its frontcourt this offseason, it should start with bringing Fru back. The 6-foot-10, 250-pound forward has to get stronger and be more physical in the paint and down low. He has to be an enforcer and a dominant two-way player who can protect the rim and who teams fear in the paint, while on the other end, he has to be that athletic forward who can be a threat to score.

Fru averaged 9.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, and with Louisville hoping he will take that leap heading into his second season, the Cardinals fans should have faith their starting center will return for the 2026-27 season.
