Adrian Wooley - Stay
The player Louisville fans are voicing they want Kelsey to make sure stays, and they bring back next season is the former 5-star transfer, Adrian Wooley. The Kennessaw State transfer came off the bench in his first year with Louisville, but with Ryan Conwell, Isaac McKneely, and likely Mikel Brown Jr. gone next year, the offense is trending to be Wooley’s, if he doesn’t enter the portal.
Louisville has high expectations for Wooley, as the combo guard showed he can be an elite scorer and a clutch player when the ball is in his hands. In his first year, he averaged 8.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 0.7 steals per game. But when Brown was not playing, the 5-star transfer started in his place, and he played with confidence, becoming a key scorer for Kelsey.
It isn’t easy to predict, as Wooley would once again be one of the top players to enter the portal, but our gut says he will return. He will be a starting guard for Kelsey, and with it being his second year in the system, he would likely take that big leap. Before Louisville, Wooley averaged 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from downtown. So, the potential is there for Wooley to take that big leap under Kelsey, but now Cards fans will just wait for the official announcement on whether he returns.
