Mikel Brown Jr. - Enter NBA Draft

The one Cardinal Louisville fans can expect definitely not to be back next season with eligibility left is 5-star freshman Mikel Brown Jr. Despite the point guard recently stating he is considering returning, Brown is trending to be a lock for a top 10 pick in the NBA Draft, and it feels like he will declare for the NBA Draft sooner rather than later.

Brown committed to Louisville with the full intention of being a one-and-done, and while he didn’t live his childhood dream of playing in the NCAA Tournament and was a bit inconsistent at times with turnovers, he did enough to remain a top 10 pick, as his potential is through the roof. The 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard is an elite scorer who can flash through the paint and finish through contact, but also has limitless range from beyond the arc.

Cardinals fans would love to have Brown back for another season, as it would immediately make them Final Four contenders again, but it is hard to imagine Brown returning. Louisville fans should expect the 5-star to declare for the NBA Draft.
