F James Scott - Stay

It is on pace for the Cardinals' elite lob threat from last season to return to the Louisville basketball program. Kelsey praised James Scott all season as he stepped up big-time for Kasean Pryor when the starting center went down.

Scott averaged 7.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 0.9 blocks while shooting over 75 percent from the field. He was at the nation's top in dunks, as the 6-foot-11, 220-pound forward had an elite paint presence. Scott is expected to return to the starting lineup next season in the forward position, depending on whether Kelsey brings in an elite forward position.

Even if the Cardinals land a forward from the transfer portal, Scott and Kelsey's chemistry and trust are second to none. Scott was a transfer from Charleston who joined the Cardinals with Kelsey last off-season. The Cardinals' primary lob threat and rim protector seems to return to Kelsey and Louisville next season.
