London Johnson - Stay

When London Johnson committed to Louisville, Pat Kelsey supported the Cardinals' commitment every step of the way and had Johnson’s back throughout all the chaos. Johnson was one of the first commitments from the NBA G-League, and with Kelsey’s support, Louisville fans are expecting Johnson to make his college debut with the Louisville Cardinals after he was redshirted his first season.

Johnson arrived on the team in December, but didn’t see any action, and now is expected to be a key piece for Louisville next season. Bringing experience from the NBA G-League, Louisville fans have high expectations for the Cardinals' point guard. Johnson averaged 10.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists in his final season with the Ignite after averaging 10.5 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 rebounds in his first season.

Johnson was a 4-star recruit out of high school but decided to bypass college and sign with the NBA’s G League Ignite. He was ranked as high as No. 46 in the nation and No. 8 among combo guards.
