Power Forward: Vangelis Zougris
Louisville basketball learned before the portal opened that three forwards planned to enter the portal. So, if those three stay in the portal, then the Cards' starting power forward at the moment would be Vangelis Zougris.
The former commit from Greece was a spark for Pat Kelsey in the second half of the season. The 6-foot-8, 240-pound forward showed he can be a physical forward for Kelsey as he averaged 14.4 points and 11.1 rebounds at the 2023 FIBA U20 European Championship.
Kelsey might attack the power forward position and try to get an upgrade from the Transfer Portal, but as of right now, Zougris is the clear starter. Last year, he moved up into the starting lineup and averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in those six games.
