While Pat Kelsey and Chucky Hepburn got the glaring spotlight for the Cardinals' massive season last year, someone who flew under the radar was Terrence Edwards Jr. The Cardinals saw late Thursday night that their former star guard, Chucky Hepburn, agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Toronto Raptors. The former ACC Defensive Player of the Year is a perfect fit for the Raptors, as Toronto desperately needed a player with elite skills on the defensive side.

The Cardinals might have gone to another NBA Draft without seeing a player drafted, but Louisville basketball did see Hepburn sign a deal with the Raptors and Terrence Edwards Jr. join the Milwaukee Bucks for the NBA Summer League.

Edwards is expected to join the Bucks' 2025 NBA Draft picks in Las Vegas as Milwaukee selected Bogoljub Markovic with the No. 47 pick and added Alabama's Mark Sears with a two-way contract.

Edwards may not have been drafted, and he may not have signed a contract like Hepburn, but if he can perform as he did in the ACC Tournament, then there is no doubt he has a chance to land a contract with the Bucks' G-League team, the Wisconsin Herd.

The former Cardinal transferred over from JMU and was one of Kelsey's dominant offensive players this past season. Edwards earned a spot on the All-ACC Third Team after averaging 16.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists while shooting 44 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Edwards went on to score 15 points or more in 17 games, 20 points or more in 10 games, 25 points or more in four games and earned his career high last season with an impressive 35-point performance against Cal when he connected on seven 3-pointers.

Edwards went on to lead the Cardinals to their first-ever ACC Title game, averaging 25 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting nearly 40 percent from the floor. He also added eight three-pointers in the Cardinals' three games.

Edwards has tremendous skills and tendencies on the offensive side. He has all the tools to make a run in the Summer League and to emerge as a true star in Las Vegas. The former Cardinal has a great basketball IQ and is poised to break out for the Bucks this summer.
