The NFL Draft is getting closer and closer, and the top two picks are getting the majority of the spotlight.

Cam Ward out of Miami, and Shedeur Sanders, out of Colorado seem the unanimous No. 1 and No. 2 overall picks in most mock drafts. Sanders, son of Deion Sanders, future is a little uncertainty, and NFL fans are not sure how the future will look for the future first-round pick out of Colorado.

NFL Insider, Benjamin Allbright, took to X and gave a brief NFL comparison for Shedeur Sanders, and he compared Sanders to one of Louisville football's all-time legends, and he might not be too far off with his comparison.

The shocking reason Shedeur Sanders draws comparison to Louisville football legend

Benjamin Allbright is a reporter for KOA Colorado, and is a Broncos Insider. However, when he looks at college football's league leader in completion percentage at 74%, fourth most passing yards at 4,134 yards, and second most passing touchdowns at 37, he sees a similarity with former Louisville football quarterback, Teddy Bridgewater.

"I think he compares favorably to Teddy Bridgewater. A high football IQ quarterback, who doesn’t have the strongest arm." Allbright stated.

"Has some athleticism, but doesn’t really use it for picking up yardage, will buy time. Similar size similar build." Albright stated on Sanders and Bridgewater comparisons.

Bridgewater coming out of college was 6-foot-3, and weighed 205 pounds, where as Sanders is currently 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds. Louisville football legend was the 32nd overall pick, the last pick of the first-round, by the Minnesota Vikings back in 2013.

Bridgewater career accolades speak for themselves as he was Big East Rookie of the Year, and Big East Offensive Player of the Year in his tenure at Louisville. In 2013 he was first team all-conference, honorable mention for All-American after he threw 3,718 yards and 27 touchdowns, and stamped his name in Cardinals history books. His passing yards ranks third most ever in a single season, and passing touchdowns comes in ranked fourth.

Sanders threw for an impressive 14, 327 yards in his collegiate career, and threw for 134 touchdowns and just 27 interceptions.

Louisville football legend, Teddy Bridgewater, would play nine years in the NFL, and most was as a backup after his brutal injury. Bridgewater finished his career playing in 79 games, and threw for 15, 120 yards, 75 touchdowns, 47 interceptions, and had a completion-percentage of 66.4.

Bridgewater career in college is one not to overlook, however, Allbright comparing Sanders and implying Sanders ceiling is Bridgewater NFL career is not one to be thrilled about.

Teddy Bridgewater was one of the more athletic quarterbacks in his NFL prime days, but his lack of arm hurt him immensely. Sanders has a similar trait, as Allbright stated. The two quarterbacks accuracy and ability to stand in the pocket and throw demonstrate they have a High-IQ, but their arm strength is a weakness for both, and while Allbright is getting backlash for this comparison, he isn't quite wrong.

The NFL Draft is April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisc.
