Louisville football earlier this month hired Deion Branch as their new wide receivers coach, and it has officially put the football world on notice.

Deion Branch is a two-time Super Bowl champion, and earned the Super Bowl XXXIX MVP. He played 11 seasons in the NFL, and was absolutely lethal on the outside as he brought in 518 receptions for 6,644 yards and 39 touchdowns in his career. Branch was seen playing for two historic programs, the Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

The 45-year-old Louisville football alum was the director of player development for the previous three seasons, but after Garrick McGee joined Branch's old coach, Bill Belichick at North Carolina, he was officially promoted on Feb. 4. to be Jeff Brohm new wide receivers coach.

Well, on Wednesday morning, Louisville football social media put out a heartwarming message from Deion Branch former teammates, including from the seven-time Super Bowl champion himself, Tom Brady.

Tom Brady send Louisville football a heartwarming message for 2026 season

Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Anthony Maddox, Nate Burleson, and Seneca Wallace all sent their former teammate Deion Branch, and the Louisville Cardinals a heart warming message.

Cardinals fans jaws dropped immediately when they opened social media and all of a sudden Tom Brady is on their phone, talking Louisville football.

"Deion, what's up man I just heard the news." Brady stated in the opening the message. "Nobody knows the position better than you. I saw it first hand. We had so many amazing years together."

Tom Brady doesn't really need a introduction, but here is one anyways. He holds pretty much any NFL record imaginable, as he has the most wins in NFL history by a player, most Super Bowl wins, most passing completions, passing attempts, passing touchdowns, and many, many more records.

Brady and Branch played together for seven seasons, from 2002-2005, and 2010-2012. Branch brought in 328 catches for 4,297 receiving yards, and 24 touchdowns with the Patriots.

"Just knowing the kind of leadership you bring, all the dedication, your incredible work ethic, all those things you embody in yourself, you are going to bring in your players, those guys are lucky to have you and I have no doubt you are going to have so much success in this next chapter, so go get them Coach Branch. Man, that sounds good." Brady stated in his final message.

Julian Edelman message was short and sweet as he just congratulated his fellow wide receiver on the position. As for Nate Burleson's message, he provided one of the best recruiting pitches for Louisville that they could ask for.

"If you are a wide receiver there, a wide receiver thinking about going there, or parents considering the program, let me tell you something about Deion Branch." Burleson stated.

Nate Burleson and Branch were in the same wide receiver room in Seattle from 2006-2009. Burleson finished his career with 457 receptions, 5,630 receiving yards, and 39 receiving touchdowns.

"Not, only is he one of the best wide receivers to play the game in his era, he is also one of my best friends. He has a high football IQ, he cares about the game, he understands the game because he played the game." Burleson stated.

This video might be one of the best recruiting pitches Louisville football ever put together, and is a great pitch for any future wide receivers they are trying to recruit down the road.

So, for Louisville football to get a message from Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, and others, is something that is safe to say wasn't on their BINGO card for 2025. However, it is safe to say that this hire will continue to be better and better and help take this Cardinals program to the next level.
