Louisville football’s 2027 recruiting class continues to turn heads nationwide as the Cardinals are now ranked as high as No. 7 in the 2027 Team Rankings. Louisville has already landed five 4-star commitments, and Vince Marrow is not shying away from letting the public know there is another one coming soon.

Vince Marrow just teased something big and Louisville football fans are buzzing

Marrow posted on his social media after Louisville landed 4-star Ja’Hyde Brown over Kentucky that the Cardinals aren’t slowing down anytime soon, and the next one is going to turn heads, too. After seeing Marrow’s tweet and his statement that the next commitment will turn heads, we wanted to brainstorm who he might have been referring to. Looking over Louisville’s targets, one name stood out, and it is clear the Cardinals fans are hoping Marrow was hinting at 4-star Kentucky native Malachi Brown.

Louisville football fans hope Vince Marrow just hinted at Malachi Brown

Louisville fans are hoping Brown is who Marrow is referring to, as the 4-star defensive lineman is one of the top uncommitted recruits in Kentucky. Louisville has been making a strong push for Brown, as he was on campus for a practice visit Monday, the same day Marrow posted the tweet.

Now that the Cardinals have landed Ja’Hyde’s commitment, Malachi immediately becomes the Cardinals fans' glaring No. 1 target. The 4-star defensive lineman has logged over 18 offers from college football giants like Alabama, Ohio State, Tennessee, Miami, and many others.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Kentucky native ranks as high as No. 244 overall, No. 29 among defensive linemen, fourth-best overall recruit out of Kentucky, and the second-best uncommitted Kentucky native.

He is a unanimous 4-star recruit in the 2027 class, and has taken multiple trips and unofficial visits to Louisville, and the Cardinals also visited Brown earlier this year. Louisville has dominated the state of Kentucky early on, landing four recruits inside the state’s top 10 and three 4-star Kentucky natives who rank in the state's top five.

The Cardinals must continue to make a strong push for Brown, and hopefully, Monday’s visit went smoothly, and he is who Marrow is referring to. Cardinals fans are keeping a close eye on Brown and his recruiting process, as Louisville is trending toward making history with this 2027 class, and Brown would be a massive splash and addition to it.
