2. Clev Lubin, DE
One name with a massive circle around their name to retain at season’s end was star defensive end Clev Lubin. A newcomer to Louisville this past season after transferring in from Coastal Carolina, Lubin made his mark early and often for the massively talented and productive defensive line. He had a high-performing season, finishing with 59 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 3 forced fumbles.
His most memorable performance of the year came fittingly against bitter rival Kentucky, where he posted 2 sacks in an absolutely dominant showing by the defensive line as Louisville shut out Kentucky 41-0. He followed up that performance by adding 1.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in Louisville’s bowl game against Toledo.
Retaining Lubin to lead the defensive line, the highest-performing position group of 2025, is a major step towards Louisville competing for an ACC title in 2026.
