Louisville had a major surprise come their way when Isaac Brown was retained for next season. An even bigger surprise was that Keyjuan Brown’s name never surfaced as entering the transfer portal after that news broke, much to the delight and excitement of all of Card Nation. Keyjuan Brown entered last season as a slight afterthought to Isaac Brown and Duke Watson. However, K. Brown ended up being potentially the most important offensive player for the Cardinals this last season, as he stepped up in a major way when both Isaac Brown and Duke Watson were out with injuries.

Keyjuan Brown had a fantastic season in his role, posting 704 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. His 2-game stretch in the California and Clemson losses was easily his best, with 136 and 135 rushing yards, respectively. He was the only offensive bright spot when it seemed that everything else was simply going wrong on that side of the football.

He proved his worth and displayed his ability as a solid No. 2 back who can take lead back snaps when asked. Having Keyjuan Brown back is a major success for the Louisville offense and a welcome sign to all of Card Nation.
