3 - Dream - Kenny Minchey
Another current backup potentially turning starter, Minchey was the next in line at Notre Dame for the last couple of seasons, backing up both Riley Leonard and, most recently, CJ Carr this past season. Minchey failed to get much playing time during that stretch, with the most snaps coming this past season. Minchey made multiple appearances, but only posted 196 passing yards with no touchdowns to show for his efforts.
Minchey entered this past offseason as an option to vie for the Notre Dame starting quarterback position. Although he did not win the title, he showed he was a real possibility to start for a school as prestigious as Notre Dame. Although Minchey is already linked to the Virginia Cavaliers as a potential landing spot, adding his name as an option given his knowledge and big-game experience would be a valuable asset to the Brohm and Louisville offense.
