Louisville football will face Toledo on Dec. 23 in Boca Raton, FL., in the Boca Raton Bowl. The Cardinals will look for their ninth win of the season and earn at least nine wins for the third straight season. However, leading up to the game, all eyes and attention are on the Transfer Portal.

The portal opens on January 2, and the Cardinals are suddenly linked to some of the biggest names. The Cards have a lot to address this offseason and have so far lost only three players to the portal. With names entering the Transfer Portal left and right, we will break down two dream, two reach, and two realistic transfer portal targets for Louisville as of now.

6. Dream - Nick Marsh

The Transfer Portal has already seen some elite talent enter, but none is as talented as wide receiver Nick Marsh. The Michigan State transfer is a 4-star and the No. 5 overall player in the portal. Marsh is going to be one of the top receiver targets in the portal and will likely head to an SEC or Big 10 powerhouse, but Louisville fans certainly can dream.

With the Cards already linked to some elite quarterbacks, the dream would be to land a star quarterback and then for Marsh to want to play for an elite offense like Jeff Brohm’s. The nation saw Chris Bell take over last season, and now imagine if Brohm is able to secure Marsh and an elite quarterback.

The sophomore receiver is the No. 1 wide receiver in the portal right now after he earned over 649 receiving yards in his first two seasons. Last year, he logged 59 catches for 662 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
