5. Reach - DJ Lagway
Louisville was just reported as the latest team to join the race for the elite transfer quarterback, DJ Lagway. The Florida transfer is one of the top players in the portal right now, ranked No. 3 overall and No. 3 quarterback. While many Louisville fans immediatley stated they are concerned about his playstyle and interception rate, if Louisville can secure Lagway, it would be a massive splash.
The Cardinals would get a former 5-star recruit who was ranked No. 3 in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 1 quarterback. The Cardinals are going to be going up against some powerhouses for the coveted 4-star transfer, but Brohm is sending a message to the nation that he wants a big-time player next year.
Lagway threw 2,264 yards and 16 touchdowns while completing 62.5 percent of his passes in his sophomore season. Through his first two college football seasons, he has 4,179 passing yards and 28 touchdowns with a 62.0 completion percentage. He has thrown 23 interceptions, which is definitely worth noting, but given Brohm's history, it would be worth giving Lagway a chance.
