Louisville football enters their first bye of the 2025 season 2-0, but the Cardinals fans have some questions after a scare in week 2 against James Madison. This Louisville Cardinals team showed grit by overcoming their first deficit of the 2025 season, and when the game ended, they relied on their stars to make plays.

The Cardinals have a challenging schedule ahead, but after a couple of more upsets in Week, it is clear Louisville fans should just be happy they won. Louisville has had some players step up and make an immediate impact through two weeks, while others need to make adjustments in this early bye week.

So, here are two Louisville Cardinals whose stocks are rising, and two that are falling as the Cardinals enter their bye week.

3. Rising - Chris Bell

Chris Bell showed why he has the chance to be one of the best wide receivers in the ACC in his Week 2 performance. The Preseason All-ACC receiver logged four catches for 83 yards, including a massive 64-yard touchdown, which led to Louisville tying JMU at the time.

Bell showed off his ability to break free and outrun the defense in his 64-yard touchdown, but he also showed off his ability to catch with his incredible two-point conversion one-handed catch. The 6-foot-2 220 220-pound receiver has logged a total of nine catches for 146 yards and one touchdown.

The Cardinals' elite wide receiver currently leads the ACC in receiving yards as the Cardinals enter their bye week. Through Louisville's first two weeks, Bell has proven he is an elite playmaker and was worth the preseason hype.
