Puma Pass excels as the new starting QB

This may not be a real “bold” statement, but with all the talk and excitement surrounding redshirt freshman Malik Cunningham after the spring game as well as incoming freshman Jordan Travis, plenty of people believe Pass could be supplanted this season.

Let me first say, you have no idea and should stop doubting the kid before he even gets a chance. That’s only setting him and yourself up for failure.

Everything we’ve heard about Puma Pass and seen from him thus far show that this kid has elite level potential. While he’s not Lamar Jackson (get that through your head now or else this is going to be a long season), Pass has a nice package of arm strength, athleticism, and swag that should help him step into big shoes in 2018-19.

Not to mention he has a stable full of talent at the wide receiver position, and potentially one of the best offensive lines in the entire ACC.

Pass is a laid-back, soft spoken type of guy that won’t interact with his teammates, his coaches, or the fans in the same way we’ve become accustomed to over the last few years. But in

2018-19 I fully expect Pass to do one thing, succeed.

I don’t think it’s outside of the realm of possibility for Pass to finish with 2,500 yards and 20+ touchdowns in 2018, considering Jaylen Smith returns for his senior season, ready to build on what was a spectacular 2017-18 season, and breakout star Dez Fitzpatric

k could be ready to head off to the NFL after just his redshirt sophomore season.

If Louisville’s running game can produce at a higher level than it did in 2017-18 and the offense can stay healthy as a whole (so far that’s been a struggle) than 2018 could be a season that puts Puma pass into the National spotlight.
