Chandler Jones

2018 statistics: 16 tackles, 2 pass deflections

Chandler Jones is a star in the making for Louisville football, regardless of what his 2018 stats say about him. He was a four-star prospect by nearly every recruiting service in the class of 2018, and he earned immediate playing time last season.

The 5’10,” 180-pound defensive back is extremely versatile. But what sticks out the most is that he has the speed to stay with the offensive player.

Jones is a guy who came in and beat out some veteran players in 2018 for four starts and could potentially become a full-time starter in 2019.

What sets Jones apart from the competition is his elite athleticism and sound fundamentals. He could become a star for the Louisville defense this year and will play an important role for a unit that features talented guys like PJ Mbanassor, Cornelius Sturghill, and Anthony Johnson among others.

Jones is a guy that will feel like a veteran for Louisville’s staff for the next three years.
