Jawon Pass – QB

RS Junior

Don’t laugh. You’re laughing. Stop laughing,

Though Jawon Pass had an ugly first season as the starting QB (if we can even call him that) for Louisville football after taking over Lamar Jackson, we shouldn’t rule out Pass’ chances of being an NFL quarterback in a few years.

Yes, there is loads and loads of work that needs to be done in terms of improving the overall play of Pass. But if you look at the QB’s who are being drafted to the next level, Pass has all the physical traits and a lot of the intangibles that coaches and GM’s are looking for.

Making a snap decision and saying Pass can’t play in the NFL based off what we saw last year is just as much blasphemy as saying he’s a first rounder based off of the fact that he’s 6’4″ 231 pounds and can move.

Pass had no offensive line last year and showed real issues with being able to throw accurately under pressure, which is why he finished with the 8 touchdowns 12 interception stat line and was one of the worst QB’s stat wise in the ACC. However, with time to develop, proper coaching, and a clean pocket, Pass could easily develop into the QB we all thought he could be.
