Louisville football recruiting providing new hope in the future to Cardnation
June 13th
Louisville lands their highest-rated recruit to date when defensive tackle Henry Bryant commits to the Cards.
This is where things really started to pick up for the Cards. Landing Austin Collins and Kobe Baynes, neither were rated as high as stand out defensive tackle Henry Bryant. If you’re going to have a Kobe on the team, you might as well go ahead and secure a commitment from a guy named Bryant as well.

Louisville received a verbal from Bryant less than 24 hours after adding Baynes, and Bryant helped the Cards soar up the recruiting rankings. The Cards first won a nice recruiting battle in the familar state of Florida and did so over several other power five programs. Bryant will be a kid who can play right away due to his power rushing ability, showing a mean streak up front on the defensive side of the ball and also his speed – which gives him the ability to get into backfields quickly and pursue ball carriers.
Braynt joined commitments, Jared Dawson and Dezmond Tell, as defensive tackles pledging to the Cards.
