What are you most excited to see with the new look Louisville football team under Scott Satterfield?

Tanner Hickman (@KodakNap): The thing I am excited about the most is just the improvement in the organization with players and staff. Think about it, this year we actually have someone coaching special teams as opposed to the previous staff that didn’t really emphasize it. In addition, no more 12-men on the field penalties or having plays with the same name as formations.

It may be a minor aspect but football is very much to an attention to detail based sport.

Presley Meyer (@Meyer_Presley): I am most excited to see an increased effort. The latter half of last season was just so difficult to watch, and even if Louisville gets toasted for the vast majority of the season (I don’t think they will) I can still take solace in the fact that the right eleven guys are going to be out there on the field at any given time, and they will be giving 100 percent effort. We love some blue-collar hustle here in The Ville!

Ethan Sprowles (@EthanSprowles): Call it cliche, but I’m excited to see a new brand of football, a renewed energy – on the sideline, on the field, and even in the stands. So far, Satterfield has been a big breath of fresh air for Louisville Football after the debacle that was last year.

Jacob Lane (@JacobLane_BRL): I am the most excited to see the defense get back to flying to the football, playing with aggression and tenacity that we haven’t seen in nearly three seasons.

With Bryan Brown coming over from Appalachian State to be the defensive coordinator along with bringing in Cort Dennison to join him as co-defensive coordinators, I think Louisville’s defense will be one of the most improved overall (from 2018 to 2019) in the ACC and maybe even in the country. There’s a good combination of experience in guys like Dorian Etheridge, G.G. Robinson, C.J. Avery, Rodjay Burns and a couple of newcomers with experience in Ty Tyler, Monty Montgomery, Isaiah Hayes, and others, who should help push the young guys along.

Depth is a concern, but overall I think the defense will be extremely exciting. Finally.

Alan Thomas (@Card_N_AL): My favorite Louisville football era was always Charlie Strong’s tenure. That being said, I thoroughly enjoy great defense. Defensive coordinator Bryan Brown has me looking forward to us playing better defense.

Charron Elliott: I am excited to see what the chemistry will look like on team with Scott Satterfield as the leader. I am interested to find out how disciplined the guys will be and also how free they will feel with last season behind them.

Alex Stengel (@Stengel1042): I’m not sure if this seems generic or my expectations are just that low for year one, but fielding a complete, well-rounded, three-phase team might be the most exciting for me. No joke. After last season, if we can have a somewhat competitive offense, a competent defense, and solid special teams – all giving effort for ALL FOUR quarters, I will be legitimately excited.

That, and the potential for a 1,000 yard RB.
