Lamar Jackson leads his team to Super Bowl LV

The Ravens finished the 2019 season with a 14-2 record. This was good for the best regular season record in the National Football League. Despite a Divisional Round bounce to the Tennessee Titans in the 2020 NFL Playoffs, the Ravens are amongst the most talented teams in the NFL. Let’s take a look at the team’s first depth chart released:

The Ravens are incredibly loaded on the defensive side of the ball after a partial revamp of the team with the additions of DT/DE Calais Campbell, DE Derek Wolfe, and MLB Patrick Queen. The Ravens also return one of the best corner duos in the NFL in Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters.

On offense (what we care about most here), the Ravens added a veteran starter at right guard in D.J. Fluker and a couple of high caliber rookies. J.K. Dobbins, a 2020 second round pick out of Ohio State, is the most notable addition and will be an even bigger boost to the running game for Jackson and the Ravens. Although he is listed as the number four running back on the depth chart, Dobbins has been raved about in training camp.

With these additions and being the NFL’s best team in the 2019 regular season, the Ravens are primed for another huge year behind number eight and company. Not many teams in the league have the talent on offense and defense the Baltimore Ravens do.

The lowest output for Jackson in 2019 came against the Buffalo Bills in Week 15 where he accounted for 185 yards of total offense. Despite the low statistics for that game, the Ravens won the match-up against the future playoff Bills. In short, nobody has been able to completely solve the talent that is Lamar Jackson. In their playoff loss, Jackson threw for 365 yards and ran for 143 against the Titans in his playoff debut.

This Ravens team has the talent to win it all. They have perhaps the biggest chess piece of all in their star Lamar Jackson.
