3 predictions for Louisville football vs. Notre Dame
By Jacob Lane
Louisville football will need a miracle to pull off a massive upset.
Five weeks ago I was all on the Louisville football is going to go into South Bend, Indiana and knock off a likely a top five ranked team in Notre Dame train. After a 1-3 start that includes a disappointing 19 point to Georgia Tech, I’m to the point of just hoping the Cards find some type of silver lining.
This is just the third time the Cards will face off against the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, and despite Louisville’s slow start fans are extremely excited and optimistic about what they’ll see from their squad on Saturday.
Playing on NBC inside of magical Notre Dame Stadium where Reggie Bonnafon last led the Cards to a big victory, the Cards will need to play their best football of the Scott Satterfield era if they are going to pull off the upset. Brian Kelly and quarterback Ian Book have the Irish rolling in hot, starting the season 3-0 and moving all the way up to no. 4 in the AP rankings looking destined to for a trip to the ACC Championship.

As I mentioned, this is a game that this offseason I predicted Louisville would win. I may feel differently now about the final outcome, considering what’s happened in the first five weeks of the season, but I still feel like there’s a lot the Cards can prove.
Without further ado, our team’s predictions for Louisville’s matchup against no. 4 Notre Dame.
