Silas Demary Jr. – Combo Guard – 6’4 – Class of 2023

Let’s start by saying that I don’t think Silas Demary Jr. will end up at UofL, and I’m not even sure if the staff is interested in him, but him landing at Louisville would make a decent amount of sense.

Demary Jr. is a four-star combo guard out of North Carolina who just so happened to play on the same team as current Louisville signee Trentyn Flowers.

Combine Academy was full of stars, as they were a perennial Top-25 team in the nation last year, so it’s no surprise to see that Flowers was playing with other high Division I-caliber players.

But Demary Jr’s announcement earlier in the week is what piqued Louisville fans’ interest.

I watched quite a few of Demary Jr’s games while I was breaking down Trentyn Flowers’ film, so I’m pretty familiar with his game.

He’s a skilled guard that loves to attack the basket, but the thing that stuck out the most to me in his game was that he was pretty selfish.

He ran the point a lot for Combine, and I remember thinking so many times “Dang. These guards are selfish,” and wishing they’d get the ball to Flowers more.

He’s certainly skilled, so I wouldn’t mind having him, but I think the team needs to look at adding more experienced ball handlers. Plus, it looks like other teams have taken the lead in landing his services.

For once, I wouldn’t be mad if Rick Pitino takes this player away from us, which is very likely at this point.
