2. C.J. Luster
Louisville landed two massive shooting guards in the transfer portal and will now shift its focus to its bench. The Cardinals will want to have a player off the bench who they can rely on for valuable minutes while keeping their identity the same.
The Cardinals will need to find a key bench piece who can shoot from beyond the arc, and they reached out to C.J. Luster, who would be a perfect fit for this role. The Stony Brook transfer averaged 16.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.0 steals while shooting 42.9 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from downtown.
This sharpshooter is one of the purest jumpers in college basketball, as he averaged 3.2 3-pointers last season for the Seawolves. he scored 20 points or more in 14 games, including three games with 30 points or more. His season high was 31 points, which he scored in two games, one against Deleware and the other against North Carolina A&T.
The Cardinals would love to have a sharpshooter like Luster come off their bench, but it is unlikely that a player with the ability to shoot will come off the bench next season.
