3. Nate Kurisky

This one leaves a sting for multiple reasons. Louisville fans saw a few tight ends hit the portal this offseason, but Nate Kurisky stands out from the rest. Kurisky committed to Louisville as a 3-star recruit in the 2022 class and spent all four seasons with the Cardinals. He left a big mark during his time with Louisville, finishing his career with 50 receptions for 410 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Louisville added Tulsa transfer and the No. 3 tight end in the portal, Brody Foley, and kept key tight end Jaleel Skinner, but seeing Kurisky hit the portal was still a sting. He went on to commit to the ACC foe and 2025 ACC Champions, the Duke Blue Devils, after a career season in which he logged a career high 20 catches and 157 yards, while adding two touchdowns.

Kurisky made an immediate impact with Louisville, logging 18 catches for 141 yards in 2023 and earning a career-high three receiving touchdowns in 2024.
